New Year's Mushing 2010
Review by Jeroen
Dear Manuel and Anita, Andri and Flurin, John and Laura, Jenny and all the other people who deserve my thanks a thousand times...
It has been a great trip and a really fortunate decision to give up my New Year's celebration at home and celebrate this week in Sverige.
I think I speak for me and my father when I say we felt at home with you guys every moment of every day.
There were moments of glorious action, moments of rest stretching miles around you, moments of unexpectedness which caught you unaware, the kindness of the dogs, all of whom were beautiful (I still know their names), moments of crazy laughter, moments of delicious meals,
moments of watching Ice Age (a lot :-)), but especially one big moment of feeling at home right there, in the middle of wilderness, where you would've
least expected it.
We think you did a great job and everybody worked as part of the family. Had some good conversations, and in working with
men and dog alike, you suddenly realize what's it all about in life. For me, as a student in Medicine, this experience was even important, I realize,
being now again taken in by the busy world around me.
Of course we have taken with us a lot of anecdotes, but we were enriched by the tale
of nature, the dogs and the flexibility with which you put a warm blanket over all your guests. If I speak for myself, I never suffered any cold in any way. Back in Stockholm we felt a little like hillbilly farmers, but in a good and world-wise way.
I wish you luck in all your endeavours and may Andri and Flurin grow up strong, so that I can give them a firm handshake when I see them again!
Give a big hug out there to all the dogs (especially don't forget Nala) and who knows – my eyes may see Jamtland once again!
All the best

Review by Rob
Hello Manuel, Anita, John and Laura,
Herewith i like to send you our feelings about the Mushing we had last week. We like to thank you again for the great experience and your hospitality.
You asked us for ideas or things you have to change but according to our opinion you shoudn’t change anything. Your concept that your guests can be a part of the family and the flexibility you have should feel, for almost every guest, like a warm bath.
We enjoyed it very much and we hope that you will be very succesful with your business. If you ever like to come to the Netherlands, please visit us.
Kind regards,
Rob Vister
