Husky Holiday is located at Munkflohögen
55 km north of Östersund, in the heart
of Jämtland, Sweden

Munkflohögen
Munken (the monk) was founded in 1768.
The legend tells about a monk who drowned rolling
down a little height into a stream on his way from
the nearby monastery to the market in Föllinge.
Today teams of huskies are gliding across these heights
in the winter and horses are grazing there in the summer.

Driving here? You are 4 persons?
Why not, especially if you have a two
week vacation, and don’t live too far off?
If you come from or via Germany there are 3 usual ways;

1.Ferry Kiel-Oslo, and a 640 kilometres drive
takes about 8 hours. Least driving.

2.Ferry Fredrikshavn in Denmark to Göteborg in Sweden.
   Popular choice.

3.Putgarten-Rødby, Helsingør-Helsingborg.
More on petrol, less on ferry tickets.
Going to take you 24 hours from Hamburg.

If you drive; Head for Östersund, take road 45
direction Strömsund and Arvidsjaur.
Follow this road 30 km north.
At Häggenås turn left at sign Munkflohögen,
24 km, and you are here. Just like that.
