New Year Mushing
Anabell:
My first week of 2012 started with probably the best winter holiday since childhood, far up in the north, on a cosy dog-farm in the village called Munkflohögen, with about 50 dogs, 3 horses, 7 sheep, 1 cat, some rabbits and chicken and very little people... The "human guard dogs" of the named farm did everything possible to make their guests feel comfortable, but all this in a comfy and homy manner, just completely natural. Getting here was like coming home... And during day time the adventure was great! Just standing on the sledge with your "own" four to six husky (meant as noun and adjective) dogs pulling the sledge and listening to their paw-steps, enjoying the lovely and quiet winter scenery, was absolutely breathtaking, relaxing, delightful, awesome, terrific... Just do it!

Christmas Mushing
Lots of snow and more puppies
Finally, we got lots of snow and both we and the dogs enjoy sledding after a long time of muddy training. We had a wonderful Christmas week with lots of dog sledding, horse sledding with a jingle bell, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, and puppy cuddles. And to make the white Christmas perfect, Aria gave birth to 7 almost white puppies!

„Rasta men“ has moved in
Our newest achievement is a 2 year old Minishettlandpony stallion called Greven, but we call him for Rasta men, since he had big dreadlocks in his mane when he came to us and I forgot his real name all the time . .. now the dreadlocks are gone, but the name stayed. At the moment he has to learn how to pull a wagon and sled and we hope that he’ll charm many of our youngest visitors soon.

Husky Special - Frank
An excellent holiday in beautiful country. The dogs were great.
I particularly appreciated the flexibility shown by Anita and
Manuel, who were more than happy to adjust their usual
itinerary to fit in things I particularly wanted to see/do.
Thanks guys - see you next year

Welcome to our winter wonderland
The world is covered with white and the dogs just can’t wait
to get out there and run like crazy… Yes, the winter has
definitely arrived!
With no shortage of snow and perfect conditions for sledding,
it’s the ideal time to join us for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
Just picture it: you and your own team of four energetic
huskies coming face-to-face with the elements as you
glide through a beautiful frozen landscape. There really
is nothing like it.
Watch as the little puppies take to the snow like ducks
to water. Try ice-fishing or cross-country skiing, build
a snowman, or just bond with your furry new
friends for a winter experience like no other. |

First snowfall of the season
We have just received the first snowfall of the season to the
delight of our guests taking part in Autumn Training.
At approximately 10cm thick, the fresh snow has called for snow chains on the quad bikes while training, and has delivered a much smoother ride. The puppies have also taken to their first snow experience with excitement and have loved playing in it, sliding across frozen streams and feeling the white stuff crunch
beneath their paws.
Sunrises and sunsets are as spectacular as ever, as the
shortening days signal the arrival of winter. We are now eagerly awaiting additional snow forecast for the coming weeks and
look forward to breaking the sleds out soon.

Autumn training, Season start, First puppy run
Autumn training has begun and the dogs are really happy that
their summer holiday is over. They have been well rested (and
well fed!) and are eager to start running the trails again.
We are also pleased to have three 10 month-old puppies recently join
the kennel and do well with their first run in the team. They
love the life of a sled dog!
We welcome you to take part in the most important and
interesting time in the dog kennel...
